Default Ethernet Onboard


I was regularly using broadband at my home

however I removed my broadband from home since 4 months

And now wen I wanted to start broadband at home I found that there is no Ethernet in my PC

My PC is not detecting The onboard Ethernet

What It can be

Yes I tried to install it but still windows says it is not able to open the device
or start the device, check if the device is connected properly

maybe ur ethernet port is malfunctioned. Use Pcie lan card.

This kinda problem was faced by me in case of my onboard audio card.
Later i came to know that my audio card is blown up.

u can also connect ur modem via usb

Assuming you're using Windows, does the ethernet device show up in Device Manager? If not, did you check to see if it's disabled in BIOS?

If it's enabled in BIOS, maybe it has gone defective as someone else suggested. In that case, you'll have to install a PCI LAN card. At least it's cheap - only 150-200 bucks.
