what's the best ad-blocker?

I'm using firefox. I don't want o see ads for facebook or google. I've using greasemonkey right now but even the scripts that claim to block google ads, don't work.

thanks, got Adblock Plus and it works great. Just one thing, I can't block the text ads in gmail. I've tried modifying the userContent.css file that Firefox uses but it didn't work.
