64_Bit OS Help

Hai to all,
I am now using 32 bit windows xp and vista. But i am planning to go for 64 bit windows. I have some doubts reguarding this
My system configration is
1. Intel core 2 duo 2.53 Ghz processor
2. Biostar mother board with 256MB on board graphics card
3. 2GB RAM
4. 500 GB HDD
Is my configuration supports 64 Bit os or is there any thing i have to change?
And also is the difference is in the 32bit and 64bit OS only or the hard ware also must support for the OS?
Please help!!!!!
