Question Guide To Buy 9600-9800 Or HD4830-HD4850


I am planning to buy a new graphic card for my pc in next 15 days........my preference r 9600 or 9800 chipset for nvidia & HD4830 or HD4850 for ati........my budget is around Rs7600..........plz help me out by suggesting a card making most of my money........plz do specify approx price, model name & manufacturer name........

for 7.6k budget, the best one should be Palit 9800GT for 7k approx

least priced HD4850 is Palit's for 8.5k. I think h/w prices have gone up little bit.

9600GT is nothing before 9800GT and HD4850. HD4830 is not at all VFM as 9800GT is faster than this one and costs around 700 bucks less.

9800GT is a gud card, but its same as old 8800GT. HD 4850 competes with 9800GTX+. 4850 for 8.5k is real gud if u can bear the buggy drivers.
ALso look out for HD 4750 which is soon to hit the market. Itll be much cheaper nd falls b/w 4670 and 4830 but performance comes close to 4850.

Waiting for HD4750 is a good option, especially with a simple OC, u'll cross performance of HD4850, and the price is set to be 99$, so something less than 7k or so in India.
