Default PROBLEM WITH .NFO FILES

WHENEVER I TRY TO OPEN A .NFO FILE I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE SAYING:

SYSTEM INFORMATION CANNOT OPEN THIS NFO FILE.THIS MIGHT BE CORRUPTED OR AN UNRECOGNIZED VERSION.

THEN SYSTEM INFORMATION SIMPLY SHOWS COMPUTER SUMMARY.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
WHAT CAUSES THIS ERROR
HOW CAN IT BE CORRECTED?

well though notepad can be used to view nfo files but nfo viewer is used to see all the art work done properly..you can also get this effect in Notepad

1st : right click on nfo file select Choose from list ..if this option is not shown keep Shift key pressed b4 pressing right Click..
2 go to the list ..select notepad as default app..check the use this app every time to open the file...thus now when ever u click a nfo file it will be Opned in Notepad..

3 if u want to see the true artwork of nfo file just change the Font to TERMINAL.....
