Default I want to buy an external hdd.

hi
I want to buy an external hdd which is portable(for my laptop)
My bugdet is Rs 10000. I checked this months Digit and liked western digital 40 GB hdd but it's website www.wdc.com has more good hdds with extra gigs.I am confused. please help me.

get ur self a external hddd casing and a 4200rpm lappy hdd

total cost around 5K

Aren't they expensive? Why not get a regular 3.5 incher and an USB hard disk case.

regular HDDs are not portable and are not supposed to be moved or carried on a regular basis. So in this case a mobile HDD will do, but is expensive.
If you only want to use the HDD at home or keep it located on u r desk then the regular HDD is good option.
