Default External Hard drive

Need 1tb external drive to carry around. Confused which to go for:

1tb internal + casing or 1tb WD external costing 8.5k

Also does alfa (mumbai) stock external hard drives? Anyone using 1tb external? Any reviews? Where will I get cheapest hard drives in bombay? Shop names would be great. Thankyou.

Go for external if budget is not a problem. It will be more portable and would look good as well!!!

Thumbs up Re: External Hard drive

Just 15 days ago I bought WDMyBook edition 1TB Hdd from eBay.in
Used a 5% off voucher and it costed me 6k neat.

Box packed, not yet registered. The seller is from Ghatkopar, Mumbai, had 100% positive feedback.
He personally contacted me for the courier delivery.

Will PM u later...
Its basic drive, USB2.0 and needs external power (and if u go beyond 320GB, u'll always get an external power adapter)
No firewire.

My requirements were basic, a large capacity drive which will stay with my desktop, will travel wid me (once in a year)...

Performance:-
Its fast enough for me. Copies one 700MB avi file within 1.5 min.

Took 3.5 hrs to copy my 350GB movies...
