Default Floppy Media not recognised Plz help

I have a floopy which has software used in GE CT scanner. When I use this floopy to my or any computer it says its media not recognised. would you like to format it? This floppy is in good condition because it works on CT scanner. Windows XP and Red hat linux couldn't recognise it.

How can I read this floopy to my computer and how can I make exact dublicate copy of it?

Can anybody help me on this topic as soon as possible Plz.......?

Try using the following software:

1- Alkonost Maxformat 3.50
2- BadCopy Pro
3- Active Floppy Recovery 2.0
4- Recover Fixed/Floppy Disk v1.4 <-- Freeware!

Dear Nimda

Can it be a problem of file system of floppy? Perhaps windows is not recognising the file system or it is not FAT, some other file system used in GE software floppies.

Please reply ASAP.

ON my WIn 98 computer when i click on blank or filled floppy it says
DO u want to format it

But when i go in dos when starting the computer
floppy drive reads it.
ALso i can do full or quick format.

ALso in safe mode all files can be read and copied to it also

but why in normal mode it is telling do u want to format the floppy

I tried 5-6 floppies all are giving same error

Also is there any emulator for floopy drive to boot from dos if win cant start
instead of booting from cd drive

LIke i have A drive but dont have B drive
I want to create boot cd but cant do it because floopies cant be read from the drive .
For creating boot cd Easy cd creator wants floppy in floppy drive

You can use one excellent utility called TFormat which will format your floppy even if its track 0 is bad!!!
