Hi Guys,


I already hav an Acer 19" widescreen LCD, 160GB IDE-HDD nd m going for this new CONFIG. PLs suggest whether its worth it or not..


1.Motherboard - Biostar TA780G M2+
2.Processor - AMD Phenom X3 8650 Tri-Core
3.Graphics Card - 9400GT 1GB DDR2
4.RAM - 2 X 2GB 1066 MHZ ZION RAM
5.HDD - 500GB 32MB BUFFER SEAGATE HARDDISK
6.CABINET - iBALL STUNNER
7.OPTICAL DRIVE - LG 20X SATA DVD WRITER


Plsss enlighten me wid this Config of mine or suggest whether anything else wil b suitable here instead of the parts mentioned above..
My Budget is Rs.20000. Also tell me whether i can play games lyk Crysis wid dis config..

3.Graphics Card - 9400GT 1GB DDR2 Drop this for now, onboard IGP of 790GX will be enough for u untill u save up and buy a good card.
4.RAM - 2 X 2GB 1066 MHZ ZION RAM Look for 800 Mhz Corsair/Kingston according to ur budget, the performance diff doesnt justify the price diff between 800 Mhz and 1066 Mhz.
5.HDD - 500GB 32MB BUFFER SEAGATE HARDDISK
6.CABINET - iBALL STUNNER Have a look at Zebronics Bijli.
7.OPTICAL DRIVE - LG 20X SATA DVD WRITER

Now does it justify u...!! Actually i dont wanna spend much on Mobo wen m getting more or less same performance in marginally lesser price.. Nd i find iBall Cabby lookwise better dan zebronics bijli, yes i've gone through it...No man, ma budget doesnt allow me to go for a 7.5k processor...

Go for 9500GT, 9400GT with 1GB is almost useless for gaming. Too much memory on graphics cards doesn't help, its better to get 512MB with DDR3, 1GB on 9400 will just sit idle doing nothing, it is just for showoff, to lure customers. either get 9500GT or 8600GT, whichever you get cheaper, but don't go for DDR2 on the gfx card.

More memory with lo-fi cards would'nt help...get the 9600GT card....256 mb will suffice for you now...

Change the processor to Athlon X2 7750 for 3.5k,or its better to increase the budget and get PII X3 720 BE

the total cost of these three components comes around 11k. For around 300-400 Rs more, u can get X3 720 BE + Biostar 790 GX XE. now the second config (the one that i mentioned) has the following advantages :

1. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy Better Processor (atleast 60% better performance).
2. Much superior Board, Better Chipset, more SATA ports, more performance, More headroom for OC, More Future Proof.
3. Almost equal performance in Graphics and Games.
4. Lesser Power Consumption.


Or if u still have doubts, then go for this config

X2 7750 B.E -- 3.5k
Biostar TA780G M2 --3.3k
4350 512MB DDR3 -- 2.6k

it will have much better overall performance (as three cores are still bieng utilised propely.) and 4350 will be much better with 780 G then 9400 GT. And 9400 GT cant proper utilize 256 MB, leave alone 1 GB, its just a marketing gimmick to fool consumers. And 4350 with DDR3 Memory is any day better than 9400 GT DDR2.


Now its ur choice dude ........
