May be your computer is infected with a virus. It could be boot.com virus also. Download Noob Killer and do a 8-X kill to remove all malware.
Also increase size of your virtual memory.

I have to mention one more thing and I think it may have some relevance to the above problem.

I have 2 DVD drivers (1st & 2nd). When I insert a media into the 1st, the systems restarts immediately. It also reboots multiple times if the media is inside the 1st driver and I start the sytem. Only when i remove the media it boots with out a restart.

If i keep a media inside 2nd DVD driver and start the system it also restarts the computer occasionally. but not while the computer is already on.

These restarts occur, I think when i do multiple tasks. but i am not sure. It does occur occasionally.

These restarts occur mostly just before the "Welcome"blue screen appears in the XP.

This log wouldn't help, post the BSOD Stop error that you are getting....if it is not visible then you have to enable it...
when booting, at the OS selection option, press F8 key to get the boot options...(that safe mode one), then at the down you can see an option..."disable system restart due to system failure" and press enter and boot...when the BSOD occurs, then post the STOP message, like Stop: IRQL_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL_TO...something like that...

Before this message started appearing, what did you install (software or hardware)?

There is a chance of software conflict.
