anybody who has done Data entry job from home ???

does it really work or u endup calling fraud companies ???

hi,

i have done the job long back, around 6 yrs back. but these types of jobs are always tedious. normally time consuming. since the technology has changed nowadays it gives u option of scanning the hard copies and with the help of OCR software u can do the job easily. but afterall the mistakes u do always limits ur income.

Its a mixed bag!! You are never sure if it is a fraud or genuine. It depends from company to company. So be careful and try for an advance.

i dont think it will work.
my one of friend does data entry work at home.
he has to pay deposite for it.
company says that they will pay him 6Rs per pages he type and after some checking. but till now he does not recieve any payment from company.
so friend dont go for these type of schem .
i think its fraud.

Please ask for terms & conditions before doing any data entery job.
Most of them ask for security (non refundable)
It is hard to recognize whether they are genuine or fraud.
As tuxfan has said try to go for advance

Just think, those guys are asking for a deposit. Will they give you any advance?

Its called TRANSCRIPTION. Medical and Legal transcription were hot once upon a time in India. But I have seen hugh transcription centres close down a few years ago due to intense competition and non-viability.

There is a time difference between India and the western countries like US. So people there dictate on tapes, send the sound bytes to India. While they are sleeping, Indians would be awake and typing from their dictation. So they get their job done over-night. That is what makes it pretty convenient for them

I WAS IN DATA ENTRY JOB ABOUT 1 YEAR BACK.
I USED TO GET SCANNED PDF DOCUMENTS FROM WHICH I HAD TO READ AND ENTER DATA IN SOME FIELDS OF A SOFTWARE WHICH THEY HAD PROVIDED ME.THE DATA CONSISTED OF MAINLY CLINICAL RECORDS OF SOME HOSPITALS OF AFRICAN COUNTRIES.AS I WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE NAMES
AND OTHER DETAILS IT TOOK A GREAT TIME FROM ME AND WAS VERY BORING.I USED TO COMPLETE ABOUT 20 PAGES AFTER WORKING FOR ABOUT 5-6 HRS.I GOT 9RS PER PAGE.I DIDN'T LIKE THE JOB SO I LEFT IT.ALSO ,THEY DIDN'T PAY ME ON THE SAID TIME.I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANY SECURITY DEPOSIT
