Help needed regarding AGP card

Hi,
My friends got an old system - P4 2.8 Ghz HT, 1GB RAM , Intel 865GBF Motherboard. he wants a AGP 8X Graphics card within a budget of 5k. Which card should he get so that he can play the latest games at least at minimum specs? i know its an outdated system , but still any help would cheer him up

Well, Currently im having tat same mobo witha nVIDIA 7600GS AGP (256MB) card..
(dnt look at my siggy, tats my brand new Monster)..

So, on my 7600GS with 2GB DDR-I(400) Transcend RAM, (wich has a native resolution of 1440x900) I can play almost all the games on medium settings.. but plz DO NOT expect this card to play or even RUN Crysis at all..

So, u can go for this card, i think tat will be in his budget..

Hi Ashu, thanks for your reply. We were just going through the reviews of HD3650 and its a pretty good card. itwares suggests its available for 5100 bucks. Any suggestions on this?

Well, buddy, i hv made all my purchased (tat u see in my siggy) from theITwares.com, the shop is really reliable adn has gr8 price too..

SO, if u ask me abt how tat online shop is, i wud say, JUS shop with it and do not worry..

For the record, if the card is GDDR3, go for it!!!!!!!

Try to extend to 80k, cuz that will make the difference between an OKAY(good actually) HD4870 or HD4890(new in April) and maybe a HD4850 X2 or even an HD4870 X2(the performance at it's best goes 106% higher).

Yes, it's worth the wait. It's gonna be as fast or faster than GTX285 as AMD claims, and different from RV770(fundamentals same) and will be very affordable.
