i suggest you go for 2 *6800gt`s as you`ll be easily able to fit in those 2 in your budget..

and rather get a amd 4000+ if possible..

ok here goes ,

AMD Athlon 3200+ (939 pin)
MSI K8N DIAMOND SLI
2*Gainward Geforce 6800 Ultra Golden sample
Seagate 160 GB or more SATA NCQ (Try SATA 2 if available)
1GB*2 PC 3200 DDR RAM (Kingston/Corsair) - Get Corsair Xtra low latency modules
Samsung 19" CRT monitor (as you are into 3d )
Sony DRU-720A DVD-RW
Sony DVD-ROM (keep a backup drive)
Antec 450 W True Power SMPS
Antec Super Lanboy cabinet
Altec Lansing VS-3151R speakers (decent and cheap)
Microsoft Cordless Keyboard/Optical mouse (get the best model u can afford)

and finally buy Original Win XP Professional or Home.

thought i suggest you wait for a month or 2 as dual core processors are hitting the market soon and when u r ready to spend so much... y not wait and get good stuff ?

Try to get SATA disks and configure them in RAID.

However fast your other components may be, but if they cann't get the data fast enough from HDD, whats the use?

hi mohit,

thanks a ton for this detailed config.

are u sure all this + 2 6800 graphics card and ms xp professional will come in this budget. .as i m totally blank in hardware . by the way what is gainward and low latency value

moreover i like ur idea for waiting 1 or 2 months for dual core processor. but i m sure they
will overide my budget. as they will be too costly, i doubt if any money will be left for anything else. what do you say.

with regards and gratitude ,
deepak

@deepakd
yup buddy i have calculated the prices and dont worry it will be in ur budget ... jst a suggestion here , when u finally go to the dealer get the pricing of the individual stuff frm him and post it on the forum so we can verify it.

and as aadipa suggested go for 2*80 gb sata ncq drives from seagate and set them up in RAID ...it will offer a good perfomance boost.

and dont worry dual core processors are not going to be dat expensive atleast intel pentium d processors ... the prices start from around 12,000/- (approx) ... the only problem is availability.

i just want to add to the mohit's config....

go for creative megaworks 5.1 and creative DDTS external decoder...u will get this whole setup for arnd. 30K

rest assured that u'll just love this setup...ur dvds will rock man...

and if possible then also include audigy 2 soundcard in ur final setup...

also u can consider to go for a LCD screen to increase the aesthetic appeal of ur system...

happy hunting...

ENjoy...

EDIT: Actually its very much possible that u can get the above setup for 25K...u just need to look arnd.

if u dont wanna go spending another 1.25l on batteries go buy rechargable mice either frm logitech or i ball,
i ball comes in at about 3k
and logitech costs 5k
.
unfortunatly i dont know abt rechargable keyboards.

and i personally feel u should stick to crt monitors. and not lcd's. as lcd's tend not to adjust very well to all resolutions and work only at their native resolutions.u may have to change the resolution while playing games to increase the games performance. also crt's give better and indepth colour.

Samsung 19" Monitor is only available in WHITE

Models available:

Samsung 957MB
Samsung 997DF

MB is better than DF as it offers preset brightness/contrast options and costs a bit more.

BUT THEY ARE AVAILABLE ONLY IN WHITE !

Samsung 997DF costs 13.5k

If you want the best in hard disk drives, go for the Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10,000 RPM SATA Hard Drive.
This is the ONLY hard drive in the world (excluding SCSI drives) to run at 10,000 RPM. Better yet, buy 2 and run them in RAID-0.

I'd suggest that you dont spend so much on our rig cuz within like 6 months there will be much better kick ass products out in the market. I suggest that you get a mid budget rig right now and save up for the upcoming R520 and G70 cards frm Ati and Nvidia and the dual core procesors from Intel and Amd. And dont go for SLI since a single 6800GT will suffice most of your needs.

Are you trying to suggest that Microsoft cordless products are battery guzzlers? The batteries on my MS IntelliMouse Explorer Wireless lasted me a full 6 months before needing replacement. That sure beats having to put the mouse on recharging every now and then

@deepakd:

I whole-heartedly agree with blade_runner. Why spend so much money when newer technologies are just around the corner? Scale down your budget and then upgrade when the newer hardware becomes available.

dear friends ,

i m lucky to have geeks like u to augment my knowledge of hardware. my main idea behind spending so much, is to buy the best now and forget for couple of years. i m investing this much to build the core(processor, ram, mob, gfx card etc),not the asethetics .

but i think brainiac has a wise suggestion. one question wont there be a compatability problems upgrading six months down line. iam very much ready to wait forthe new stuff to come, mohit also suggested this.

with regards,
deepak

deepak its lik after every 6 months some new techn..comes than your config looks old against that....becoz price of the stuffs u bought comes down.........

many ppl suggesting amd becoz they mostly doesnt have prob regarding compatibility.....lik the dual core r out now....but they r available on many amd related boards when dual core launching wasnt decided........whereas on the contrary intel will bring out a new board...and if u have there 915 chipset board...then inorder to go 4 dual core u need to go 4 new board.........lik 945 and 955 chipsets.......but no doubt they also r king..

and yup market changes fast......i guess within half that budget also ull get the same type config...that will last 4 a couple of year......then again for new config u can add the remaining half.........

or else shel the money on high end speakers graphic cards...and moniter and sexy looking lighted cabinets...and yup giv importance to smps(antec one )mentioned......all......
