Default Remove banner

How to remove a banner on phpBB forum as a admin. ALso i am not able to change the banner.

just replace the logo_phpbb.gif file with a blank one in the direc of ur theme

It is hosted on freebb.com. How can i access my forum directories. I want to show you something(domain name and server port's use) for reference.

I solved my problem by uploading a gif file. I was wrongly uploading a jpg file.
