Default FAN and temperature problem

Yesterday I installed a fan in my pc. When I went in to the BIOS it showed the SYSTEM FAN Speed as 0 RPM, while the CPU Fan Speed at 4866 RPM. I have checked and rechecked and the fan is working properly. WHy is the RPM not coming on the BIOS ??

I also installed a graphics card (Gainward Geforce FX 5200 128 mb). Before installing it the max temp. reached was 57celsius. After instaling the card it has gone up to 61 celsius. (Both the temp. were seen after playing NFS Underground)

Is this temp. normal?? I have got an AMD Athlon XP processor.
Please HELP!!

1) system fan speed and cpu fan speed are separate
for RPM monitoring the system fan must be connected to the 3 pin fan connector on the mobo
this is however not possible since those fans arent available anymore
the ones which work are high end ones and can be very expensive

2) yes temperatures are quite normal
however an extra cabinet fan wherever u can place it will help ur temperatures go down
specially a side case fan if u can mount one
mine went from 60 degrees to 53 degrees

keeping the cabinet open is a temp solution ...
whereas
installing an additional 120mm/80mm fan...
keeping the cabinet closed...
keeping it in a ventilated space... NOT under the desk .. have seen PC tables where cabinet space is on the bottom shelf... FAR away frm good air ventilation ...
keeping all the wires inside the cabinet tied up ...

the above points are safe nd permanent ones ..
whereas i dont think i'll call vaccum cleaning a safe alternative ..
