VERTICAL LINES IN TV TUNER

I HAVE A MERCURY TV TUNER CARD ATTACHED ON MY SYSTEM WITH ASUS MOTHERBOARD WITH P-4 PROCESSOR HAVING WIN XP PRO.MY PROBLEM IS THAT I AM GETTING VERTICAL LINES IN THE TV RECEPTION EVEN IF THE SIGNAL IS VERY STRONG.THE NO. OF LINES INCREASE ON INCREASING THE RESOLUTION OF THE TUNER.HOW CAN I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

well first of all let tell you
you wont get as much clarity as your TV does
about your problem
first of all check up the Cable(wire)
this wire is often a culpurit for bad quality
i too got such lines and disturbance
on my Pinnacle PCTV stereo
so called up my cable d00d he said lets change the cable and holy moly roaches i had never seen such clarity since i bought the card
he got me a good quality cable (will cost you a bit)
and my problem solved
so i suggest you if possible try changing the cable

Yea the reception of the cable signal is very sensitive and needs to be quite precise

me too wod recommend getting the cable guy setup it up exactly

they check those frequnecy and stuff with their istruments and the tv-quality gets a lot better

the problem i had before i asked the cable guy to correct is that the first few and the last few channels in the band were unclear coz of weak signals

worth calling him
