Is it possible to have a domain like www.rajrules.net for free ?
If yes...How and where ?

I have heard of redirection !!!

WELL... How can I redirect a visitor to a site like raj.where.com if he types www.rajrules.net ?

Url redirection services like cjb.net does that for you. All you gotta do is fill in your url "you.whatever.com and then your preferred redirection url you.cjb.net.

But i am not sure if there is any service that provides ".net" redirection

.net, .com etc..domain names you have to buy..

in short...first level domain names are always paid...

well after u purchase a .net (comes at around 300-400 rs/yr --depends on host) u can add redirection to ur website at just around rs. 50/yr.
well ur host can provide exact rates to u. and this will simply do ur job in min. cost but once u r set to take a .net u r recommended to use a paid webspace which comes for as low as rs 250/yr and advantages u get is to know more close abt scripts and high level web hosting as compared to free sites

where u register ur domain name u get an option to redirect to where u want !!!!

also i don think u can get free .com, but u can try for free .net, .tk, .co.in etc all are available on the net !!!

I am talking about 1st lever domain name

i.e. example.net, example.co.in etc...
