Default Should I Open My UPS?

Hi guys,
I have a Microtek Maxpower Ups with AVR 135 V ~ 300 V (Model No. M3 600AZ V2.0) manufactured by Maxpower Infosystems. Now, I have an unlimited download limit broadband connection so I leave my computer switched on at nights for downloads. In my area(Sector 23, Gurgaon) there is a load-shedding generally for 30-45 minutes at around 2 o' clock at night. My UPS can easily handle this 30-45 minutes of blackout with monitor switched off. But during this time it makes a lot of noise through its so called 'AUDIBLE ALARM BROADCASTING'(was written in Maual) and disturbs my sleep daily. Is there any way I can switch off this alarm by tweaking the UPS manually.I don't want to open the ups before discussing it with any pro. I am sure this must be a grave problem of many techies in the forum as all the new UPSs available in the market start beeping as soon as the power goes off instead of beeping when battery is low. I heard good brands like PCS and Wipro have the option of disabling the alarm but I can't change my UPS currently. Please comment on my problem freely and let me know you views towards the solution. Guys I have posted the same problem in 'In General' section also. I don't know if it is against the rules. I read the rules and found nothing against it because this is such a problem which can be posted in both the sections. Moderators you can delete the post from the section you find irrelevant but please don't lock it as it won't decrease the spamming of forum.

i think if u open the UPS u warranty will be void ...

if u r not a technician u r making a misake by opening the UPS

if ur UPS doesnt have a disable option jus leave it as it is ..

goto the market medical store
buy cotton roll and ear-plugs ..
push it into ur ear b4 sleeping
enjoy ur sleep .....

this is the only solution i know ...

some other gurus in the forum mite have a better answer ..

well...i m already using the solution told by u....but then it sylii doesnt solve the problem properly....n i don't mind if the warranty is void bcause anyway the ups is not frm a good company so anyway warranty wont work tht much....i think i'll have to take it to a local inverter 'mistri' and get it done...but btw these 'mistrees' have lots of 'mystery' in their work so it wont be safe anyway...

call the manufacturer and ask them if they have any soln....

even my APC-Back UPS yells when there is a power failure .... i dont have a USB port in my system so i cant install the software which automatically shuts down the system when the power goes off and the battery is low ...
