Default Outlook Express 6 ???


I use OE6 2 access & download my mails ... 4 hotmail & yahoo acc ....

want 2 download only some selected mails, from a list of many.

as some mails r very big in size, i just want a selective download.

Thats downloading bigger mails next time.

bt header of the mail should b present ... so as 4 my information ...

Well ... you can try this but it wont show you headers ... but you can set it to not download mails with attachements. praps there is a better way, but anyway -

Go to Tools > Message Rules > Mail
Click New. In the Conditions specify For All Mails (Or better, those with attachments).
In Actions, specify Do Not Download From Server.
Click OK.

create a folder in ur mailbox on yahoo/hotmail and transfer mails to that folder. Now download mails only from that folder. This should work for ur problem.

For hotmail, you can change the folder setting in OE and select to download only the headers in place of entire mails. Then you can selectively download.

For yahoo, use YahooPOPs alongwith something like Mailwasher. Have never tried using the two in combination, but it should work. You can try it out.
