Default Demytify The RAM


I have a Intel D845GVSR motherboard ...
I am currently using a 128 MB DDR RAM ...i am not sure where to find its speed ..so pls tell me..
Also i wanted to upgrade my RAM to 512 Mb...
is there any Speed limit of my motherboard....i mean can i put a PC400 DDR RAM on my PC....
I am also not very clear about the RAM Speeds so pls help...

Visit ur mobo manufacturer's site.

Search with ur mobo model name or find da section for product information.

when ur product info will be given. u can there find abt da RAMs ur mobo supports.

ram speed depends upon the motherboards capacity

if ur ram is 400 hz and motherboard supports only 333hz then u will be unable to run that ram on 400hz

u will have to low down the value
