Default Problem, Please Help

Recently my PC was attacked by virus and since I had no other way I opted for formatting my hard drive. Now I have reinstalled XP with SP2. Now the problem is that after the installation of SP2 my USB port does not work, I tried 'Help & Support' center but that was in vain. The problem gets resolved as soon as SP2 is uninstalled. Please help, I want SP2 with USB port on.

I think this is a Driver issue. You have to update the drivers via Windows Automatic Update after installing XP SP2

Try reinstalling the drivers from the CD that you got with your Mobo.

Nothing special, went to device manager, there was a "!" mark in USB controllers, clicked it and instructed to reinstall drivers. It prompt for drivers CD and I was done. Working fine now but as I remember I followed the same procedure few days back when I was facing the problem then there was no "!" mark. But afterwards the mark was there, couldn't figure out what actually happened.

Yep! Because I didn't think about re-installing the drivers using Device Manager
