I want to buy a new PC for gaming. I have sortlist the following components
Are They Right ? Anybody can tell me ?

1. Asus K8S motherboard
2. AMD Athlon 2800+
3. 512 MB RAM
4. 80 GB samsung Harddisk
5. Samsung Writer
6. 1.44 Floppy drive

The vender is telling me the cost of this PC 25,700 Is this right ?

well bud whatz ur Budget coz for 25K i doubt if u can get a descent Gaming rig.......

let me give u a brief Details about Gaming Rig

Proccy : p4 -3.0Ghz+ / Amd 3000+
mobo : Hmm dono much Intel wll do.i love MSI Neo II
Ram : 512 Bare Min..1 GB is good
AGP Card : Min 6600GT..FX series is Crap..6800GT good 2 -6800GT in SLI Great...
HDD : 120/160GB with min 7200rpm
Sound card : On board Pathetic .. Min 4.1 for true game exp...5.1 / 7.1 good
Optical Drive : CD Rom Min ...Combo Drive Good.. DVD Writer Best(for copying perpose)
Monitor : 17"good...19/21" great

in short a descent Gaming rig will Churn out 30/35K min .....Dream machine..1Lack Min....pplz plz correct me if i am wrong....

well small correction.. 2800+ is also gud enuff with a asus K8N mobo!that reduces ur cost greatly(bout 10K 2gether).. also a FX5700 (non LE bout 4.7K)is decent.. cos 6600 still costs bout 11-12K optical drive u can settle for a combo of CDRW+DVD ROM thats (bout 2.3K) HDD yes 120 is enuff (seagate barrcuda is bout 3.9K) RAM yes 512 wld b decent and 1 GB wld b gr8 (512 is bout 2.5K) regardin sound card.. onbard is decent enuff id not suggest u to waste money on it monitor a 17inch samsung sync (costs bout 7.5K) then u got ur cabinet..kbrd..mouse..smps etc etc..

thats bout 30K-35K so ud better get this.. spend 5-10K more but ask for these..

check the edition which deals abt testing processors an motherboards.
