Default Sound Card

Currently I'm using ATP 3 speakers and onboard C-Media CMI8738-C3DX 5.1 channel soundcard. I'm planning to buy Creative Sound Blaster Live! 7.1 soundcard. Would this be an advantage over onboard C-Media soundcard?? Now I'm still using 2.1 speakers like ATP3, but after adding this SB Live! will I get good performance from my 2.1 speakers??

the practical answer is.....NO!

ur current onboard C-Media soundcard is well enough for ur ATP3 2.1 speakers....unless u have a multichannel speakers setup, gng for a 7.1 soundcard is pointless

btw who adviced u to go for a 7.1 soundcard inspite of the fact that ur gonna use it with stereo speakers?

ur onboard soundcard maybe using 4-5% more of ur CPU usage but then its manageable...

use that money somewhere else....

ENjoy...

Agree with suave there, he gave me the same advice, i checked up and he was right.
Unless..........
you wanna go in for a high end sound card Rs.8000/- and above but then your speakers have to be quite high-end too..
