Default Burning a movie to DVD


Hello... can somebody guide me how to burn (which software) a 802 MB .AVI movie to a DVD disc which is playable by my home DVD player... i have no burning software installed on my lappy and m on vista home premium... plz guide... which software to use???

you can easily get nero from the paid softwares or use any freeware form this months digit DVD. all works much or less same.
On nero select the video option and then next next and some more next and the DVD is ready.

if you wan2 burn the movie as a data DVD u can also use WMP11 in vista

Download this or install it form this months digit cd.

Burn4Free CD and DVD 4.6. This can be also used for makeing ISO's.

Nero is horribly big... will also make your comp slow. It even installs stuff that starts with your comp. I detest such software. But yes, it has loads of features... not useful if you dont use them, though.

Currently I have Ashampoo... its much, much lighter than Nero. Better still try CDBurnerXP, DeepBurner, etc. (I havent used these myself, yet). They are even lighter. Deepburner, I belive has more features and even supports overburning, etc.

Its best to burn your file in data mode... but your player must support AVI files.... and if the file is encoded in divx/xvid/etc, your player must have these codecs built-in.
