avast! error message while shutting down

Whenever I try to shut down my computer, at the end it displays an error message regarding ashServ.exe that it could not write to some memory address(shown in hex) and after that switches off. I could not take a screen shot because it appears only when I shut down my comp. Can anyone help me out?

i think it happens due to a faulty RAM module, it was happening with me with a different file, replaced my RAM module and the prob was solved. Try borrowing ur frnds memory module and then check once again, if the prob is gone then it must be due to faulty RAM module. Also u may also have to post ur HIJACK THIS! log file.
