Default can i uninstall msn messenger ?

guys, just tell me one thing.

i dont use msn messenger. i have also disabled it from its own startup setting, plus also from a few other utilities. but the darned thing just appears once in a while in my system tray when on the net, saying its up, b'coz i m using so-and so.

can i just go to the 'add-remove programs' and uninstall it ?
it wont affect my WinXP/SP2 normal operation in any way would it ?

Just uninstall it if you don't want it. It won't cause any problems.
