Default Tata Indicom...how good is it?

im using a 512 unlimited plan from Asianet Dataline and get around 52-54 kbps D/L speed.
but my cousin gets 100kbps D/L speed on a Tata Indicom 256K connection!!

so im seriously considering about changing my provider and would like to get some feedback abt them.

tq

52-54kbps on 512kbps and 100kbps on 256kbps. Both are bad.

I used to get 128kbps on TataIndicom plug to surf whiz modem !!

was it kbps or kBps both are different things......if kbps its bad.........if kBps its probably good for 512kbps connection as 512kbps= 512/8=64kBps(10kBps less)

i hope this helps.

Rs. 2850 upfront
Tariffs here

But the service quality deteriorated a bit recently and that's why I switched from that.

Are you sure that it is KBps? as that seems unlikely...

I don't think that it's possible to get 100kBps(=800kbps) on 256kbps unlimited use plan.

^^
He's dreaming. Show us some screen shot that he's getting 100 KBPS.

I'm using tata indicomm 384kbps unlimited plan. I'm getting 43-45 KB/s in utorrent constantly. Previously I was on 256kbps UL, I got 29-31 KBPS constantly.

In Firefox add-on Down'them all my download reaches 100 KBPS for 2 secs sometimes. If this is you're seeing then don't bother. Otherwise give us proof.
