Exclamation Problem with Autorun.inf etc

1. Whenever I insert pendrive/camera in my USB port, my my Avast 4.8 Home Edition has detected 'autorun.inf' file. Is this can be overcome? and

2. Whenever I open my browser (IE6) to access the Net, my Avast 4.8 Home Edition has detected a virus "Win32elf-IFY [Trj]" in my Document and Settings folder. When I scan the folder, I did not found 'em. How can I delete or clean this virus from my system? Please advise.

Your pen drive contains a virus. Update your AntiVirus and scan your pen drive once. Remove any malicious file your AntiVirus might find. Generally, viruses that spread through removable media use the Windows' auto-play (via Autorun.inf file) mechanism to launch themselves. And, Avast is blocking this execution, that's all.

Also, run a complete system scan using Avast.

Scan your PC/Pen Drive with a-Squared and SuperAntiSpyware

Literally Avast Sucks... go for AVG

Also don't forget to update their definitions before scan

Also you can refer to this Thread (The problem is solved here): http://translate.google.com/translat...3Doff%26sa%3DN
