hi my compaq deskpro ep/sb series is not detecting hard disk samsung 8.2 gb
all the wires are correct what to do?

hey check ur jumper setting !!

Follow Kings advice and check your jumpers. Use Cable Select (CS) instead of Master or Slave if you have any problems in these modes.

CS is preferred if you have WD hard disks.

I checked the jumper , i kept it in all pins one by one still it didn't work
is their a need to update bios ?

what do u mean by this ?the normal cable is pluged in to the hdd and motherboard
