Default strange problem...

hey guyz !! I had recently changed my RAM when my old RAM module went kaput(maybe 15 days or so...)....
Now when I turn on my pc and run it for 15-20 mins it just shuts off and pressing the power button again doesnt help..first I have to turn off the power supply and wait for 15-20 sec and then turn on the supply and the pc...but the same happens again but after a shorter duration of time....help me...what can be wrong with my pc ?? I have got the latest updates of quick heal and spybot , so I presume i cant do any better than that if its a virus problem(cant afford a format...)

but i suspect a heating problem...what do you guys say ???

^^

1.) well, its not a s/w problem for sure...but hv u checked the temperatures ?? in bios ??? plz check them and post it here, also note down if there are any abrupt temperature rises..

2.) btw, wat RAM are u having ??? and are they multiple RAMs or jus a single RAM stick (module) ?

3.) if its multiple sticks, make sure they all run on the same frequency..and are all of the same make (manufacturer)

4.) also, remove the cords (power cords) from all the optical drives tat u hv and jus run the PC with HDD connected....

The important thing is that the RAMs should be of the same frequency & type.
