^^

well reading to this, i think tat the lappys are beyond their warranty periods.. so its a bad bad news..coz that will take sum good chunk of ur hard earned money jus to repair it..also the quality of display cannot be guaranteed (even though its a factory repair)

coz, lets face it, repaired things dont really work gr8 for long periods..
---------

also, u will NOT get any good amt of money by selling ur dead lappys..coz even if u seel them to a vendor, he will himself have to get it repaired atleast sumwhere (although he will get it repaired from a cheap and local lappy repairwalla and sell it in the grey market.)
---------

U can sell the lappy, but wat i feel is, jus enquire abt the costs involved in repairing the lappy (at a local repair shop) and then only after a repair, sell the lappy to a vendor (without saying) tat u got it repaired..else u will again get jus a paltry sum...

hope u got the point..
---------------

Bad luck....i think u won't get any one to buy that junk...So better go for exchange....Eventhough you wont get any reduction in price for the new one...
