My Ir Remote Control Doesnot work

I got a new HP Pavilion Laptop recently. But what I came across is my remote Control for media player is not working. For few days after I purchased it was working but after few days it did not work. I tried changeing the cell too but its not working..So please help me to figure it out. Here is my PC details.

Vista Ultimate OS (SP 1)
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 GHz Proccessor.
HP Pavilion dv2911us Notebook PC (Model)

Get it replaced.

If that was the case then i could have done it before. I am in Bhutan and this Notebook has been brought from United States....Its not so easy to replace. Thats why I am in this forum.....

It's difficult to troubleshoot the remote. If it's under warranty the best thing to do is get it replaced. Email the guys at HP, they usually are quick to reply.
