i am an engineering student..4th sem...
i was asked by one of my staff to create an application that sends the marks of every students to their parents moblie automaticalyy...
i dont have any idea abt this...and i am also a newbie to this...
so please help...

what language do u prefer???
and some idea abt wer to start etc...

You will need to buy SMS packages from SMS gateway providers and build your app according to their API specs. Decent cost involved. Do you have any funding?

yes you need gateway to do this.. gogole for SMS gateway . the gateway companies also have websrevices which can be consumed by your program. They also have samples on how to do it.

Also please make clear abt your programming skills.. I want to know if you dont know how to send just the SMS or you dont know any programming at all.

better take Java as ur platform... API are available for Java... and yes u inarguably need SMS Gateway

moreover wat is a sms gateway????
