I want to add a feature of Editing site content online.

Same as Edit in wikipedia.org. after login.

How can i do that ? in which lang. ? I mostly like to use asp.net.

What you looking for is called as 'Content managing System'. It is of different types such as blogs, portals, wikis, etc.

There are MANY free and open source CMS products available. What is the purpose of using the CMS in your case? If you wish run onlike like Wikipedia, then you can have a look at MediaWiki http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki

And ya, even if you like ASP.net, try avoiding it unless you absolutely need to hack the scripts, modify them and all, only if you have very advanced skills in ASP.net. The overhead of ASP.net is also high compared to Linux servers!

Rohan's right, you need a CMS.

In my experience, Joomla is the best.

The March 08 Digit even has a 200+ mb video on how to get a basic site up and running in 30 mins, using Joomla.

If you want a wiki engine, try dokuwiki, it's small, lightweight and uses flatfile. Yeah it doesn't scale too well but is really nice for some small work.
