Need small help with Flash CS4 and Action Script

I have designed a flash website using AS 3.0. I wanted the stage to be aligned automatically to the center and also want to load an image as background which should re-size according to the browser resolution...

For this reason i got the following file from activeden :

Since iam relatively new to the AS and flash, i have no idea on how to use that particular script...
the help file given along with it is totally crap and even the author is no mood to even reply to the mails i send him.....

Can some god sent person please help me in using that script in my project...

If anybody is interested to help me, iam ready to send that file(from activeden) to you so that you can check that...
