Default data mining


hello people,

I want to start a project on data mining and dont know what should the program do. plz. suggest any algorithm/process to encorporate so that it can take good project analysis

It must mine data from some large data source, or a data warehouse, and then produce interesting patterns from the statistics and perhaps even display the same visually.

A classic example I know of is, how many people who buy milk at a supermarket also buy bread?

But ... You already know that. Wikipedia, for starters.
