Default BenQ scanner

I have bought a BenQ scanner(5000 series) for Rs. 2500, is this the correct price 4 it?

The software provided with the scanner(MiraScan) takes too much time to scan n hangs sumtimes, but this does not happen when i use IrfanView or anyother software 4 the same. Is this a prob with the software?

try unchecking descreen option in mira scan
