msi geforce 8800gt 512mb oc motherboard(something under about Rs.3000) 2x sata2 hdd 1 optical(dvd) drive 17" crt monitor 3.1ch speakers,peripherals do i even need to buy a sperate psu or should i just go for stuff that comes inegrated with most cabinets, like my current frontech smps cabinet(i dont know what type of psu they come with). after all i'm not building something top-end (or even an sli machine) |

better for Cm 400watts smps... i think that will serve the purpose

Bundled psu's are cheap and so is their performance. I would suggest you go with Corsair VX450W since you are planning to run 8800GT.
BTW, what's your budget for the PSU?

i have a similar question.......so i'll post it here itself
i want to buy a high end gaming rig, with foll config, whats the wattage required? xfx nforce 780i intel q9450 xfx geforce 9800gtx (will SLI in the future) 4GB DDR2 800Mhz seagate sata2 500GB (will add more in the future) liteon dvdrw thanks.

i will suggest go for corsair which is also good for power consumtion... go for HX620
