Is configuring paid DTH possible??

i wanted to know if is possible to manually configure a paid DTH service. i am planning to buy one but if it is not possible to configure it i dont think it will be of any use in outside of b'lore. if possible can anyone tell how to do it? its okay if i have to pay for subscription.

What do you mean by configure? Do you want to use it with a provider other than the one who provided the box and dish or to get some particular channels from a bouqet or something else?

no provider can be same eg TATA SKY with their box. i just dont want their personnel to come and install the machine.
