You cannot match the frequencies, your 400 Mhz RAM would run at 266 Mhz if you will club it with a 266 Mhz ram

so u mean it will work @ 640 MB but both of them will work @ 266 MHZ..if yes then will it hamper the speed of my comp in anyways, or spoil my 512 MB ram ??
i just want to add this 128 mb ram as i can use it for the shared memory of the onboard grafix..

It won't spoil your RAM. You will get more space w.r.t to RAM, but your frequency of both the RAM will be same, i.e., 266Mhz like the others have mentioned here.

It would not hamper anything, nor would it spoil the RAM its just that both of your ram would be running at 266Mhz..... thats all, if you can live with it, go for it.

*technically* you can adjust the ram speed through BIOS, but like everyone else has said the max speed you can go is as fast as the slowest, which looks like 266. if you want you could change it to runn at 133, but why bother? plus I wouldn't recommend it, cuz the computer may not boot, and if it does would take longer.
