Default Need advice for new Configration

A neighbour of mine need to buy a PC for home use. He got a estimate and needed me to advice .

His estimate that he got fr dealer:

Intel 101 GGcr/Asrock .... 3950/2450
Intel PIV 3 GHz Ht .... 3250
256 MB DDR400 .... 1150
Seagate 80 Gb 7200 .... 2100
Supercomp 450W .... 1300
15" Samsung Realtone ... 3700
Sony CD writer ... 1100
_______
Rs20332

I adviced him to get a 17". I live in a small town n just cant demand anything.
The dealer has to offer, n I have to just choose.

So a quick expert review with suggestion(with prices) I need.

go in for core2duo processor or amd am2....u'll get better performace

check www.theitwares.com for prices, they also ship all over india, so maybe u can take advantage of that n pik n choose ur config instead of depending on ur dealer

consult the site...they have given some good processor+mobo combos, u can safely select from them n ask the dealer to try n get that config. goin in for intel 3ghz at this time might not be a good decision
