Configure 4.1 Spkrs

Hello!
Well I want to know how can I configure my 4.1 Artis speakers on my ASUS M2NPV-MX mobo which has got 6.1 audio. It has jack sensing technology but I am unable to configure them the right way. Please help.

Go to Control Panel.
1. Click on "Sound and Audio Devices"
2. Click on "Advanced" in "Speaker Settings"
3. In the "Speaker Setup" select "Quadraphonic Speakers" and click on OK
4. Click OK again

select surround sound instead of quadrophonic speakers.

another way around is ur sound system software which must b installed along with drivers will b better option as they have jack sensing technology

i have realtek audio wid similar feature.
so try this way (if ur software has got similar features)

take out jacks.
open the sound app
select 4.1
now plug in the jack one by one. it will automatically detect the jack.
click ok.

i have sound max installed which came with my mobo & it has jack sensing. But the problem is there is no option for selecting 4.1 speakers. also i have two cables one with green jack & other with blue jack. when i put them in the respective sockets in the mobo it detects the jacks but i dont get any option to set 4.1 speakers.

the speaker has two jacks.

but the prob is in ur sound output list hasnt got 4.1. AFAIK there is diff b/w quadrophonic and 4.1 sound

Just select quadraphonic. It works fine with my creative inspire 4.1
