Why do you suggest 15k Vista (Ultimate Edition). Home premium is good enough and saves 5k.

Get your Hard Drives done on RAID 0. That would give quite a speed boost although would be more prominent when working with largere files.

7600GS is a card of 35k rig. Settle for nothing less than 7950Gt or better still get a 8800GTS available for 24k.

Processor- Intel C2D E6600 (2.4 Ghz) . If possible overclock it.

Mobo- Try and get a decent 965 chipset mobo or better still a 680i SLI based mobo. That would give you unprecedented control over overclocking.

1K doesnt give a very good TV tuner card. If possible get a ATI all-in-wonder card. However that would mean sacrificing a dedicated video card.

Sound Card- Dont settle for anything less than the audigy series and if possible get a X-Fi extreme gamer card.

Monitor- Viewsonic is the best. If possible get a 20" model. It would cost 3-4k more but would give a higher resolution equal to that of 22" monitors.

Lastly let us know, what you bought!
