Default please suggest a configuration

Friends,

Please suggest a good configuration under Rs 30k . Minimum:core2duo processor, 1 GB RAM,prferrably Intel motherboard . It should have good multimedia/audio-visual ability. May be used for moderate graphic design work. Gaming is low priority. Also please mention preferred brands.

Thanks a lot.

@drvarunmehta

thanks for your reply.

Can you please clarify two points :
1. isn't it better to take Intel motherboard ?
2. which is better/convenient : DDRI/DDRII , also which brand/model ?

thanks again.

Not really. Asus makes mobo's that perform equally well or better than Intel and has more features too.

hey!
I have myself been searching for a configuration n thought would share it with u.

THE SUB SYSTEM
Processor
Intel COre 2 Duo e6300 7500/-

Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 8000/-

Ram
Transcend 1GB 667Mhz DDR2 5000/-

HDD
Samsung sp2504c 250GB HDD 3300/-

Cabinet
Zebronics with 400Watt Power Supply 1200/-

Optical Drive
Lite-on all write 2500/-

I/o
Keyboard+mouse 700/-
Samsung 17" CRT 5400/-

This is a very good configuration and is a little over ur budget. It is evident
that the mobo is being costly here but its really a cool mobo n has a built in heat sink. It is an overclocker's delight. If u'll search on net u'll get higher rates but i'mm coming direct from a genuine shop n he has these rates. I'm sure it'll cost u some 500 - 1000 less as these r liberal rates. Net will give u different rates coz these rates take a month or two cache n we know what can happen to electronics in 2months. Still, if u dont trust me, do some scouting urself near nehru place (if u r in delhi). But if u wanna pinch each peny, i suggest the MSI p965 neo at 4.5k Dont go for asus i would say. I'll do some research on asus today n tell u again.
BEST O LUK

E6300 isn't that cheap. It's priced over 8.5k.
Gigabyte mobo's aren't that reliable. Go for Asus or MSI or even Intel.
Don't buy a Zebronics PSU. Go for a Powersafe 400W PSU.
DVD writer shouldn't cost over 2k.

No.,,,,
I think Intel Boards Performance are much better if ur using it for Graphics Designing
Like Designing in Photoshop, Illustrator
Its my Personal Experience
Asus gives more features but for designing Intel is better
ya if u need for gaming than go for asus or giga...

listen, we'll keep on fighting on n on for the best. What i suggest you is just do some googling up urself. See more results from forums worldwide to know what's best for you. Type in gigabyte motherboards n search for urself. ASUS p5b-E sells for 7500 but i'm not sure of its availability in india. yes, u can get an optical drive for 2k WITHOUT DVD-RAM WRITING CAPABILITY. But dvd-ram is costly n u prolly wont use it. i dont too. (its not even available in india i think). visit asus.com & gigabyte.com.tw/products/motherboards for details n to see for urslef what features u need.
