Laptop Lan Config error work only with laptop not with pc

Hi

I just brought campaq laptop

wndering that it is not able to connect with win2k3 server

it is showing that lan connected but i cant see netowk & browse files

One wonder is that Laptop to Laptop is connecting without any problem & browsing

I called my reseller he tried it with sahara Laptop
sahara Laptop & my Laptop is working fine

but sahara Laptop & my Laptop is not connecting with any other PC
WinxP & 98 is also not connecting

is there is any other setting for laptop to pc ?

i have winxp in laptop

Im using cross cable
means peer to peer i think

no hub switch etc.

I runned repair ,setup wizard & caompaq online chat system

notthing work

no error is raised

Make sure they dont have similar computer names on the laptop-desktop and a common workgroup name.

what ip address u have given , cross cable is right choice.
make a new connection wizard,
make workgroup name same.
give ip's 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 (other one).
use some lan messenger to see if they r able to connect.
like softros will do.

my PC which have internet sharing have 192.168.0.1
& laptop is 192.168.0.4

I m not using any lan manager just win2k3 ICS
