35-38k cpu
Yup, it's another 35k CPU.
Anyway, I'm about to buy a new CPU and CPU only. I've already rounded some parts with help from the killer rigs section, sticky threads, extensive googl...extensive research and personal fanboy preference.
Parts are-
GPU-Zotac Geforce GTX 560ti. Not AMP! edition.
Processor- Core i5 2500k, Sandy bridge. (this isn't dumb, right?)
RAM- Any company's 2x2 GB DDR3.
Case- CM Elite 430. (I doubt I'll be able to get it though...)
You guys suggest mobo, RAM, PSU, HDD AND ODD.
And here's the questionnaire-
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Mid-range gaming. Hitman Blood Money, BF3, all AC games, SC2, Max Payne 3 and anything else I can get. I'm no "OMG high resolution only!!" kind of guy, my max res is 1680x1050,though graphics settings will all be highest. I just want nice graphics, moderate res and ~30 FPS, which I think this rig should be able to provide. And the usual others, you know, movies, browsing, FB machine.
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Planning for 36k. Can extend to 38k. 40k even.
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No.
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7 64 bit.
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 gb. Might extend to 750gb or even 1tb later on.
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Reusing an LG Flatron L222WS. 1680x1050. 22" maybe. It has VGA so I'll be using the VGA-DVI converter which comes with the Zotac GTX 560ti.
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: My monitor(above), keyboard, mouse (both USB), iBall rocky headphones, a Luminous UPS(not much info on it).
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:Withing 1-2 weeks.
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Nope. I'll get help from an assembler.
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Noida. Would prefer to buy local. Going to Nehru Place. Online only if really necessary.
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I just hope there won't be any compatibility problems, weird mobo beeps etc. I plan on using this system for ~3-4 years atleast. This will be upgradable, right? And I might need some good cooling advice.

Re: 35-38k cpu
i52500k + Decent Z77 + 560 Ti = 13k+11k+13k = 37K so you got no money for rest.
So On which aspect you wish to compromise?
Considering your resolution you can opt for a HD 6580 and save some bucks.Phenom II 955 BE | Gigabyte GA-880 GM - USB3 | CM Hyper 212 EVO | Zotac GTX 560 Ti | RIPJAWS 2 x 2 GB DDR3 1600 | Cosair HX750W | Kingston v300 SSD 240 GB | Seagate : 1 TB | NZXT Phantom 410 | Sony Experia Neo V

Re: 35-38k cpu
Whoops.

I KNEW I was forgetting something. The total! I've never felt this stupid in my life.
Okay, the suggestions are pretty nice. I may be able to get those parts. I can compromise with the processor, if it doesn't bottleneck the card and will be okay for 3-4 years. Now that'll mean a different mobo with different slot. hmm....As said above, CAN extend it to 40k.
Graphic card...well I know there are better options, but some things you just WANT. The main reason I'm building this rig is Intel GMA. G33. Yup. I'm on a Dell desktop right now.

Re: 35-38k cpu
This is the best you can get @40K
And,
Its actually 1600x1024.my max res is 1680x1050
Points to be noted:
1. You can't get 2500K + Z68 setup @40K.
2. HD7850 is better than 560ti (which is last gen).
3. Suggested 1x4GB RAM module as it will leave you 3 more slots for future up-gradation. Price of 2X2GB kit is slightly higher than 1x4GB module.
4. If you want i5-2400 based config, please do tell. Within 40K, i5-2400 can be added, but not without sacrificing presently suggested graphics card with a relatively low end one.

Re: 35-38k cpu
Pick up HD 7850 2GB over GTX 560 Ti. GTX 560 Ti is previous gen. HD 7850 is new gen, a lot more power efficient and slightly faster.
i5-2500K is not needed. K series processor and Z68/P67 motherboard not needed because you are not going to overclock.

Re: 35-38k cpu
But it ain't. It is 1680x1050.
Anyway, as per all the suggestions, my config is now this-
Total- 41800
And the chassis and ODD are still left.
1.I'm sure it'll be good enough, right?
2.I saw some comparisons and it's good. Will it be available?
3.An Intel board. Any alternatives? This is the most confusing part for me and I'd prefer some alternatives in case I don't get this, preferably cheaper but still at least as good as this one.
4.So, single channel will allow better up-gradation and is cheaper. K. Though I thought that in case if one of them stops working, at least I have the other one. If a single module fries, I can't even use the rig for FB or movies.
5.K cool.
6.This isn't much of a headache, right? Any random generic Asus or LG DVD-writes will do. I think.
7.Is Bronze certified considered pretty efficient? Also, I like how its fan is blue-LED.
8. Everybody suggested different ones. Should it be CM Elite 430, Elite 310 (as per Sainatarajan) or NZXT Source 210 Elite?
9. They can't be more than 1000 rupees I think.

Re: 35-38k cpu
Alright thanks guys. I think I'm almost ready.
i5 2400, Intel dh67cl b3, radeon hd 7850, corsair value or g skill ripjawsx 4gb ddr3(the one which I can find), corsair gs600, wd caviar blue 500 gigs, asus dvd writer.
I'm still not sure about the case. d6bmg says NZXT source 210 elite, which looks pretty good but I can't find it, atleast not in the online list. Sainatarajan recommends CM elite 310, which I may be able to get. My personal wish still stands at elite 430, just for the looks.
Supposingly I'm able to get the nzxt and elite 310, which one should I get?
Cuz right here, I only found the 310,(just search cooler master, nzxt returns 0 results) so presumably it's the only one available. So which one is it? Spend more on the feature-laden nzxt or stay on my budget? I'm buying 1-2 extra fans anyway, so don't count fans. I'll need the extra ones anyway...
Also, I found "CoolerMaster CM335 ATX Cabinet +CM 600 W SMPS" for 5050 in the list which is less than the other two choices.(GS600+NZXT and GS600+elite 310). So, is a cooler master PSU worth it? The case worth it?

Re: 35-38k cpu
Don't get the CM SMPS. The SMPS you're talking is most probably the CM Extreme/Extreme Plus series which are extreme in only one case...the poor quality. They are often known as Time bombs.
Better get a standard cabinet + Corsair/Seasonic PSU as suggested here.AMD FX 8350|16 GB RipjawX 1873 MHz CL10 @ 1.6V MHz|1+2TB Seagate + 1 TB WD Green 64MB Cache|Sabertooth 990FX|Sapphire HD 7950 VApor-X OC with Boost|GT 240 1 GB GDDR5 PhysX|CM690II Advanced|LG D2342P Cinema 3D Display|TX850 V2|2 CM 1600RPM FAN|MX518|Razer Goliathus|Razer Arctosa|Razer Megalodon 7.1 Headset|CM Hyper 212 Plus|APC1.1KVA| Moto Defy Plus|HCL Me Y2 Tab (rooted)
