The new sandy bridge dell xps

hello friends I am looking for a laptop and so far I am only convinced by the dell new xps 15. Actually dell is my priority as they offer a three year cover warranty.

The configurations are:

core i7 2630QM
8GB RAM
2GB nividia 540m
500GB HDD
Backlit keyboard
Full HD screen
and a blueray player.......

Is This a good option?
Are there good diwali schemes as I can wait for one month now.....

And any body knows when is the IVY bridge processors are going to release.

Well I am not into playing games like farcry or so (I do not know the exact names).

But I want it for simulation softwares related to engineering as well as games like the NFS series and FIFA....

I think this to be a good option..Can you give me any other recommendation.

I am looking for a laptop. I will go for a sony or dell but in my opinion I need dell because of the cover warranty because earlier i broke one laptop and I had to pay gr8 for the screen.
