Replace GPU
Hi All!
My system is having following config :-
Intel Core2Duo E7400 @ 2.80 GHz
2 x 2 Gb Kibgston 800 MHz RAM
ASUS VW193D 19" monitor
Intel DG31PR motherboard
Nvidia 8400GS 512 MB Graphics Card
OS:- Windows 7 Ultimate
I want to replace my GPU my max budget is 5K can stretch by 0.5k only if there is a really good option. Please suggest Nvidia Graphics Card only as I convert tonnes of movies for my music player (Philips GoGear SA52XX:flu-glasses2
using Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate & love harnessing the power of CUDA. I wanna buy it within next 2-3 days so give me as many options as possible.
PS:- I love using smileys in my posts.

Re: Replace GPU
Dont be sad
ur system is good!
Anyways that software can use both amd stream and nvidia cuda! And nothing beats amd hd5670 in that range in gaming. So get 5670.

Re: Replace GPU
Go with Jaskanwar's suggestion. HD 5670 is the best buy within 5K. It also consumes very less power, even being such a powerful card (almost equal to nVidia 9800 GT). It does not need any external power connector.

Re: Replace GPU
Yes, my vote also goes to 5670 @ 4.5k. Terrific card for the price and doesn't require additional power connectors.

Re: Replace GPU
HD5670 is unmatched in it's price range. However if you have trouble raising your budget you can also consider HD5570 although i wouldn't suggest that.
To use these cards you must have a good power supply i.e. SMPS (read corsair, FSP, Antec, Tagan and not iBall zebronics, cooler master) inside your cabinet. If you don't have one already, one of the cheaper options you can consider is FSP Saga II 400W around 2k. Other good option is Corsair 400CX around 2.4-2.5kDigital Sheets Technology Blog

Re: Replace GPU
If used graphics card is not a issue, then my 5770 1GB can hold good.
