You will find that the AMD config is a tad more suited to gaming owing to the better GFX card.

By stretching your budget by 2k you can have PALIT ATI 4850 512MB DDR3 and WD 640GB AAKS HDD in AMD's rig. Get Corsair 2GB DDR2 800MhZ 5-5-5-18 latency in RS 1350/-with ten year warranty and don't forget about a good PSU if you already haven't.
