I need to get a new PC configured. I would prefer an AMD config. Main use will be light gaming on mid settings and movies.(external grafix card will be preferred) My budget is around 20K max. I already have 120GB hdd seagate. zebronics LAVA cabinet with 500W PSU. i also have a 15 inch CRT.(but if i can fit an LCD within this budget, then nothing like it). creative 5.1 speakers.(no need to replace). I have seen this config in this forum somewhere by desiibond, pls suggest if this is good enough. AMD Phenom 8650 - Tri Core Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2HP 2x2GB Corsair DDR 2 Thanks.

if you are thinking of light gaming and more movies, go for the config that you mentioned. and with the extra 8k saved, get 19" Dell 198WFP (7k). That should be enough for you. Do not buy a GPU now as there is lot of price reduction happening in USA and is likely to take effect here. keep the amount saved and once the graphics card prices come down, add few more bucks and get the one that is best for the new LCD.
780G should be enough for light gaming!!!

HI desiibond,
i am glad that you replied. thanks a lot for the quick reply, but i want to get everything in one go..i dont want to wait. if the grafix card is really good, i could extend the budget to 25K. but i dont want to upgrade anything for the next one to one and half year. so more sugestions are welcome.

There are few more points that you need to consider
1) Phenom II 710 is released and is expected to hit Indian market. This is a really fast processor and competes with E8xxx Intel core2duos. 2) Heavy price cuts on GPU's by AMD and nVidia.
